Gold-Nanoparticle-Decorated Silica Nanorods for Sensitive Visual Detection of Proteins
We report a rapid and highly sensitive approach based on gold-nanoparticle-decorated silica nanorods (GNP-SiNRs) label and lateral-flow strip biosensor (LFSB) for visually detecting proteins. Owing to its biocompatibility and convenient surface modification, SiNRs were used as carriers to load numerous GNPs, and the GNP-SiNRs were used as labels for the lateral-flow assay. The LFSB detection li...
متن کاملImportance of Plasmonic Heating on Visible Light Driven Photocatalysis of Gold Nanoparticle Decorated Zinc Oxide Nanorods
Herein we explore the role of localized plasmonic heat generated by resonantly excited gold (Au) NPs on visible light driven photocatalysis process. Au NPs are deposited on the surface of vertically aligned zinc oxide nanorods (ZnO NRs). The localized heat generated by Au NPs under 532 nm continuous laser excitation (SPR excitation) was experimentally probed using Raman spectroscopy by followin...
متن کاملOne-pot controlled synthesis of sea-urchin shaped Bi2S3/CdS hierarchical heterostructures with excellent visible light photocatalytic activity.
In this study, sea-urchin shaped Bi2S3/CdS hierarchical heterostructures are successfully synthesized via a convenient one-pot growth rate controlled route. The product is mainly composed of Bi2S3 nanorods and CdS nanoparticles grown on their surfaces. The formation mechanism was proposed based on the evolution of morphology as a function of solvothermal time, which involves fast formation of t...
متن کاملField emission properties of gold nanoparticle-decorated ZnO nanopillars.
The structural and optoelectronic properties of ZnO nanopillars (ZnO-NPs) grown on Si substrates by the vapor transport deposition method were investigated. In particular, by varying the deposition duration and hence the morphology of the vertically aligned ZnO-NPs, the resultant field emission characteristics were systematically compared. In addition to identifying the advantageous field emiss...
